Four Season Guides Creates Yoga Retreat Within Utah’s Canyonlands

AZ (PRUnderground) September 14th, 2017

Four Season Guides, an adventure tour company that offers guided hiking tours and backpacking adventures across the incredible landscapes of the American Southwest has announced its latest adventure, The Canyonlands Yoga Retreat. Bookings for these retreats are being offered for 2018, where guests will take part in a three day trip that stars in Arches National Park. The retreat will then move south to Canyonlands’ Needles District. This year’s trips include the option for an all-camping version or a second trip that includes a final night in a gorgeous lodge on the banks of the Colorado River. Both trips are currently sold-out for 2017, however, Four Season Guides is now accepting pre-registrations for 2018.

Along with daily yoga and meditation sessions with expert yoga teachers and backcountry guides, guests will have the opportunity to camp, hike and explore the pristine and quintessential Southwestern landscape.

“Yoga has long been known to offer an extensive list of health benefits including: stress relief, increased strength, balance and energy, improved mental well-being and improved circulation”, says Dave Logan, owner at Four Season Guides. “Combine this with the benefits of time well-spent in the outdoors, including: fresh air, exercise, Vitamin D from the sun, improved sleep and immune system response…and we’ve got the perfect remedy for those feeling worn-out from the stress and pressures of everyday life”.

Logan stated that integrating yoga into his outdoor-adventure-focused vacations was a no-brainer.

“From the launch of our first Grand Canyon Yoga Retreat in 2013, our various offerings over the years have been a great success with every trip selling-out and many participants returning each year for another adventure”.

Though these are not considered ’glamping adventures’, Four Seasons strives to strike a modest balance between creature comforts and a certain element of roughing it. You can expect top-of-line equipment including comfortable tenting accommodations with air mattresses, private campsite with picnic tables, restrooms, running water and delicious/healthy food.

However, don’t expect WIFI, showers, or an on-site masseuse. As Logan explains, “we believe in comfort and safety as important components of enjoying time in the outdoors, but we also find that simplifying life and removing common, everyday distractions is a fundamental component of deepening your connection to the natural world around you”.

Four Season Guides is a hiking and backpacking company based in Flagstaff, Arizona and has been planning and outfitting all-inclusive yoga retreats in a number of locations around Grand Canyon and Southern Utah since 2013. Four Season Guides has been in business for 18+ years. For more information on the 2018 Canyonland Yoga Retreat, visit: today!
